FIREWORK SAFETY
Here at Dean's, our first priority is fireworks safety. Below are a few great pointers to remember when using any type of firework. If you have any questions beyond what you see here, don't be afraid to give us a call!
BASICS
First and foremost, fireworks are not toys. They are explosive devices and should be handled with great care. Store fireworks in a dry, cool place when not using.
KEEP YOUR DISTANCE
Once you light your firework get back as far as you can. Distance is your friend. Nervous about the short fuse? Purchase a safety fuse at Dean's to make it a bit longer.
SAFETY CHECKLIST
Paranoid you may forget something? Don't be afraid to make yourself a safety checklist before starting the big show! Use these topics as good bullet points.
ADULTS ONLY
Fireworks, no matter the size, are meant to be handled by adults 18 years or older. You must be 18 to purchase fireworks in the state of Indiana.
PROTECTIVE GEAR
When using fireworks, always use protective gear. Gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection are a must. These will help prevent injury when firing your effects.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
The following items are considered illegal explosives and cannot be bought legally in any store: M-80's, Cherry Bombs, Silver Salutes. Please dispose of these properly.
